PMP IRON AND STEELS ( INDIA ) LIMITED was established in 1985 by our group Chairman and our very own Managing Director's grand father Late Shri P.M.Pichai Chettiar with a capacity of 100000 tons per annum.
Now our company is technologically modernized with latest imported equipments to meet the growing demands By our customers

Having established a name for being reliable, trustworthy and a quality conscious business enterprise, the journey has been a remarkable one. We are proud to have attained a definite position in the market and all these have been achieved only with the commendable effort put together by all our staffs, labours, and the management.
OUR VISIONARY CHAIRMAN
The journey of our Chairman started way back in 1950 itself. Being born in a poor family in 1926 under substandard conditions, he went on to become one among the most successful and legendary industrialists of that time.
He established nearly 25 industries and employed approximately 4000-5000 people both directly and indirectly. He was also envied for his attitude and business approach by his fellow counterparts.
He was also in close acquaintance with renowned people such as Late Dr.R.Venkataraman (8th President of India from 1987 - 1982) Late Dr.Kamaraj (3rd Chief Minister of TamilNadu during 1954 - 1963), Late Dr.M.Karunanidhi (Chief Minister of TamilNadu for five terms between 1963 - 2011) etc., during their respective governing periods, as well as other leading industrialists and political contemporaries of that time. He has established numerous steel, copper, textile, aluminium companies and related businesses in South India.

From the Director's Desk
Our Managing Director and the very first grandson of our Chairman, Shri.E.Venkatachalam B.Com, has spent considerable time in the steel industry in learning the expertise to develop quality products at low costs and with the specific aim of manufacturing TMT bars and MS structurals, thereby developing the brand name of PMP in the market.
